Aleik ("we," "us," or "our") provides an AI-powered research ghostwriting service ("Service") through aleik.com. Our Service surfaces new scientific research papers, presents curated teasers to users ("you" or "Subscriber"), and generates publication-ready articles in your voice entirely through email.

Early Access

The Service is currently in early access. Access is granted on an invitation basis after:

• Submission of your email address and request for early access
• Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions
• Activation of your subscriber account by Aleik

User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information when signing up and interacting with the service
• Use generated articles responsibly and in accordance with applicable laws
• Disclose AI assistance in published content where required by applicable platform or publication policies
• Not use the Service for spam, illegal activities, or harmful content
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Service Limitations

• Service availability is subject to technical limitations and maintenance windows
• Article quality depends on the research papers available and the preferences you communicate
• We do not guarantee 100% uptime or that every generated article will meet your exact requirements
• Research paper selection is curated algorithmically and may not cover all fields or topics

Intellectual Property

• You retain ownership of articles generated on your behalf through the Service
• We retain ownership of the underlying technology, models, and platform
• Scientific papers surfaced through the Service remain subject to their original copyright and licensing terms

Privacy and Data

• We process email data and preferences solely to provide the Service
• We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data
• We do not share your data with third parties except as necessary to provide the Service
• You retain ownership of your email content and data

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the Service in the preceding month
• We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages
• We do not warrant that the Service will meet all your requirements or be error-free
• We are not responsible for any consequences arising from the publication of AI-generated content

Termination

Either party may terminate the Service at any time. We may terminate or suspend access immediately for breach of these terms.

Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms with reasonable notice. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of modified terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by Swiss/Zurich law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
